My job sends me out of town often and I was hurt recently in a different state. Where do I file my claim? In the state I was hurt or in my home state?
If it was a job related injury, you can file it in your home state. However, if the injury was not job related, you generally have to file it in the venue that the accident occurred.
I’ve was charged with a DUI in my own state 6 years ago, but then I recently got one in another state. What are the legal ramifications of this?

I tried to drive my drunk friend home from a party but she wouldn’t let me. When we got pulled over and the cops charged me with a DUI. I wasn’t drunk! Is this legal?
If you were not driving, No. If you were driving and your blood alcohol level was below the limits, you have a good defense. You must contact an attorney fast. If you were not the driver, you may even have a good cause of action against the police for false imprisonment and violation of your civil rights.
About a month ago I got my kitchen redone. I ended up suffering an injury from a badly placed oven vent. Can I sue the contractor for my medical bills or is there a time limit from the completion of the job?
If the contractor had told you that the oven is installed and you can use it, then you can sue him.
